We sincerely invite you to take part in the 11th edition of the choreographic competition 3… 2…1…DANCE! which will be part of the second edition Krakow Dance Festival, August 1-7, 2022.

Maximum duration: 10 minutes
Accreditation payment: 10 euro
Prize: 2900 euro (3 x 1st prize 500 euro, 3 x 2nd prize 300 euro and the audience award 500 euro)

Choreographic competition 3…2…1…DANCE! is an international event during which short forms: solos, duets and trios based on the widely understood contemporary dance technique are presented. The important feature of the competition is the awarding system – each juror will award two prizes for two presentations individually without consultation with different jury members. The event is open for viewers, which also awards the prize collectively, by voting.

3…2…1…DANCE! is a competition, but purpose of the event is to dialogue. We put a high importance to the talk after presentations, when the jurors discuss about the presented works with the participants and the audience but also about choreography in general. The competition in the KCC is closer to the form of a review than a confrontation. We enable the communication between the artist and jury and we try to open the conversation to the public. It could be very inspiring and rich in different approaches in perceiving the dance.

We invite all interested choreographers who are looking for their own artistic language, regardless from age and experience. 3…2…1…DANCE! is addressed to adult choreographers and performers. The preselection will be made on the basis of the sent recording at one shot, without editing, in the best possible quality.
