International Contemporary Dance Company 2018-2020 (iCoDaCo)
We are happy to announce that Nowa Huta Cultural Center – Krakow Choreographic Center has become one of 84 beneficiaries of EU funds within Creative Europe – Culture Sub-programme (2014-2020) ‘Support for European Cooperation Projects 2018’. The project was selected from several hundred applications from European countries.
Thanks to this financial support, Krakow Choreographic Centre will take part in a two-year production project under the name of International Contemporary Dance Company 2018-2020 (iCoDaCo) together with partners from Wales, Hungary, Sweden and Hong Kong.
As part of the project an international residency will take place in November at the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre. A collective consisting of artists: Lee Brummer (Sweden), Eddie Ladd (Wales), Weronika Pelczyńska (Poland), Imre Vass (Hungary), Mui Cheuk Yin and Joseph Lee (Hong Kong) will create a performance under the theme TRANSFORMATION which will have the World Premiere on BalletOFFFestival 2018.
The producers of the project are: Nowa Huta Cultural Centre (Poland), Gwyn Emberton Dance (Wales), Jacqueline Sintung Wong (an independent producer from Hong Kong) & SÍN Arts and Culture Center (Hungary).
