KRAKOW DANCE FESTIVAL

The 3rd edition of the Krakow Dance Festival will take place from July 31 to August 6, 2023 under the guiding slogan Who is dancing?. The first event bringing us closer to the guiding motto of the festival will be the Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference, which will take place on April 21, 2023 at the Nowa Huta Cultural Center and online. The main program of the festival (July 31-August 6) will include Polish and foreign performances, the premiere of the KCC Residence, movement workshops, critical workshops, a choreographic competition 3…2…1…DANCE! and accompanying events. Among the festival presentations will be the award-winning “Throught the Grapevine” by Alexander Vantournhout – a duo on the borderline of contemporary choreography and circus.

The full program of the 3rd edition of the Krakow Dance Festival will be published at the turn of May/June. We encourage you to follow the Social Media of the Krakow Choreographic Center (Instagram Krakowskie Centrum Choreograficzne | Krakow Choreographic Centre (@kccnck) | Instagram, Facebook Krakowskie Centrum Choreograficzne | Facebook).

The idea of the festival is to show the potential of contemporary dance, both on its own and in relation to other fields of art, as well as to release the creative energy of dancers, choreographers, performers and other artists. The Krakow Dance Festival is a new initiative of the Krakow Choreographic Center, merging the existing brands of KCC: Contemporary Dance Festival SPACER, choreographic competition 3…2…1…DANCE! and BalletOFFFestival into one event of an international nature and on a much larger scale.
