KCC Back in New York!
In January, Agnieszka Barańska-Kozik took part in the latest meeting of the Partners of the GPS/Global Practice Sharing program, organized by Movement Research in New York, with the support of Trust for Mutual Understanding.
Agnieszka participated in discussions with representatives from dance and choreography organizations from 12 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the USA. During the meeting, the partners exchanged experiences from projects carried out in 2024, as well as ideas and plans for future initiatives within the GPS/Global Practice Sharing framework. The report on the residency project featuring mayfield brooks, which we carried out in October last year, was met with great interest and a warm reception.

During her stay in New York, Agnieszka also had the opportunity to attend performances presented as part of the January events: Under The Radar Festival, The Out-FRONT! Festival, and Live Artery Festival at New York Live Arts, as well as the Edges of Ailey exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
All of these experiences and encounters will continue in the planned 2026 project carried out by KCC within the Global Practice Sharing program, featuring invited artists from the USA. Additionally, we hope they will contribute to further networking and the development of international cooperation within the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
