Audition is conducted by a special committee of the BA Dance Committee and will be held at the Nowohuckie Centrum Kultury on the 29th of April 2015. The audition includes technique classes (contemporary), structured improvisation, a dance composition assignment, and a short interview. These activities will be performed in groups. Applicants do not need to prepare a solo or any other material, nor bring any music to the audition.

Please wear close-fitting dance clothes to allow the jury to see full body movement; no sweats or baggy clothing. Contemporary Class is danced barefoot. Hair should be tied back, and jewelry should be removed.

Some previous dance training is expected in order to be accepted as a BA Dance major at the University of Calgary. Beginner dancers are encouraged to take 200-level non-major dance courses at the UofC before auditioning, or seek quality dance training elsewhere. Training in contemporary dance is helpful but not expected of audition applicants.

and purchase a 50 PLN admission ticket at the box office of Nowohuckie Centrum Kultury before the audition.
