The “Jestem miłością I” art project was a story about two women facing the cultural patterns of “femininity” imposed by religions and patriarchy. “Jestem miłością II” is a project which this time involves a larger group of people, and its main matrix is made up of love stories and difficulties with forming interpersonal relationships. The stories take on the character of intimate confessions. Disenchantment of the world also applies to love. This is why finding fulfilment in love may turn out to be revolutionary for a person’s life, both in the individual and collective context. In the first part, the title “Jestem miłością” (“I am Love”) constituted a kind of curse, which generated a sense of guilt and Christian suffering. The second part is an attempt at finding fulfilment in love, but so that it happens on one’s own terms and is free from patriarchal and religious patterns that limit human freedom. The popular affective turn in the field of art, science, and the cultural and social sphere concentrates on human emotions and explores their influence on people’s social life. The creators of the “Jestem miłością II” performance decided to make their own emotionality the object of their studies and show how it affects their daily existence.
