You are very welcome to see or/and join the event of Open Band Practice! OBP is an open group practice for anyone who wants to find joy in moving!
Developed and practice by The Yonis, OBP is a time for celebrating everyone’s individuality filled with fun and lots of positive energy.
Alone, with a friend, with your family… come and let’s enjoy moving and dancing together!
You don’t have to sign up, just come and join us. During SPACER festival OBP will be lead by Charlotte Mclean and Monika Szpunar.
The Yonis are a girl band working with their bodies as instruments.
‘By choosing to break the barrier as often as possible between the stage and the audience, we invite our audiences to break the audience/performer rules with us, to dance with us, enabling a more embodied viewing experience. We want to recreate and share the feeling of joy that one might feel when watching their favourite band’.
Formed in February 2017 by graduates from London Contemporary Dance School, The Yonis have performed at several festivals including Edinburgh Fringe, Yellow Days Festival and Brain Child Festival as well as at various London platforms such as V&A Museum, Stratford Circus Arts Centre, The Place, The Yard, SET Space and much more.
