KCC Dance Intensive 2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Join the next edition of the summer international contemporary dance workshops in the Krakow Choreographic Centre! All the advanced and middle advanced dancers are welcome to KCC Dance Intensive, 26-31 August 2019. In the program we have classes of Nunhacet Guerra and Joseph Lee. Additionaly there will be Body Mind Centering with Iwona Olszowska and AcroYoga Therapeutic Flying & Thai Massage session with Tomasz Pacan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodation:
We offer a possibility of accommodation in Nowa Huta Cultural Centre in the form of place to sleep in the collective room, with access to toilets and showers. Each participant should ensure foam pad or a mattress and sleeping bag on her\/ his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Price of the workshops:
Regular price of the workshops and accomodation is 350 euro. The payment should be made till 19th of August. Place is guaranteed after making the full payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extra events:
In the evenings (Wednesday evening is free!) we invite you to spend time together. We will integrate, go to the swimming pool or sauna and explore Krakow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organizer of the KCC Dance Intensive is the Krakow Choreographic Centre \u2013 Nowa Huta Cultural Centre. This year\u2019s edition is a part of the iCoDaCo project co-funded by the EU within the Creative Europe program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choreographer, Dancer, Performer, Teacher, Assistant, Capoeirista and Dento Reiki, based in Brussels. He was born in 1985 in Las Palmas, Spain. Since 2015 he has been working with Wim Vandekeybus\/Ultima Vez on the creation and tour of \u00b4Speak Low if you Speak Love\u00b4, performing in the retrospective piece \u00b4Spiritual Unity\u00b4 and also at the revival of \u2018In spite of wishing and wanting\u2019. At the same time he has been working on his own projects as choreographer\/Soloist, his most recent work is \u2018My Way\u2019. He has also worked extensively as freelancer across several European countries with recognized professional dance companies including Staatstheater Braunschweig under the direction of Jan Pusch, Islanders by Jo Str\u00f8mgrem, Clear and Disorder by Annabelle Bonn\u00e9ry (Germany), \u2018UP’ for J\u00f3zsef Trefeli Company (Switzerland), \u2018Espejo\u2019 for Jos\u00e9 Besprosvany Company (Belgium), \u2019Shine-on\u2019 by Pedro Berd\u00e4yes (Spain), \u2018I don\u00b4t know\u2019 by Jose Reches (Spain), amongst others, as well as working extensively with Que Tal Estas Company between 2003 and 2006 performing in works including \u00b4Tag\u00b4 directed by Natalia Medina. The teaching experience includes workshops for companies and institutions, including Ultima Vez Studio where he is one of the company’s current teachers, and where he has been working as assistant of Wim Vandekeybus, Festival of Poland Na Bosaka (Poland). He also has been teaching as an international teacher in: ArteXXI (Argentina), Studio Harmonic (France), Perfordance (Spain), Center La Fenice-Lust ASD (Italy), Danza dell \u00b4Arte (Belgium), Descalzinha Danza (Spain), University of Music and Dance Cologne (Germany), Space Belgica (Belgium), Canarios dentro y fuera (Spain), Teatre Moli\u00e8re-S\u00e8te (France), Pulso Academia Danza (Chile), DansCentrumJette (Belgium), STUK-Open Stage Festival (Belgium), GUIdance – International Festival of Dance (Portugal), The Workshop Series-Chez Bushwick (New York), Peridance Capezio Center (New York), Gibney Dance Center (New York), amongst others, as well as teaching Capoeira in Spain and The Canary Islands. Nuhacet was graduated at the\nReal Conservatory Professional of Dance of Madrid \u2018Mariemma\u2019, graduation with\nthe award of \u2018Best Dancer\u2019 of the promotion of 2011, as well as the\nExtraordinary Dance Award of the community of Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PHYSICAL ITAI<\/strong>
SHAKE THE ROOTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the class is to explore the strength of the body through circular and semicircular patterns, capitalizing on the dancers instinctive impulses through an exploration of fluidity, dynamics, playfulness, acrobatics and intuitiveness. We will explore the use of six points of support; head, shoulders, forearms, hands, knees and feet, to maximize the function and stability of our bodies. The class will be divided between a mindful and focused warm-up, force\/resistance play, balance\/ imbalance work and a jumping\/falling exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The class aims to develop and enrich the physical form of the student, with emphasis on finding a ranged diversity of qualities, while also exploring what it means to relinquish oneself to intuition and instinct. We will work our strength, resistance, speed, balance through different supports, acrobatics or jumps with reception to the ground. All this through different combinations of material and guided improvisations. A way to approach physicality from the awareness of weight, strength, supports on the ground and the use of it from the awareness of gravity. How to manage energy without losing dynamics. How to link movements taking into account their difficulty, in search of neutrality and energy saving. Using the precise impulses, the necessary stage presence to be present, the anchoring of each joint and the coordination of the limbs in order to be effective and fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\nwill learn how to use our body, towards impossible limits, reaching as far as everyone\ncan. Seeing the amount of things we are capable of doing and forgetting the\nnegative points. Observing that blank canvas that is our body \/ mind as an infinite\ntool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
