The 6-day program of workshops includes: Gaga, improvisation, repertoire by Natalia Iwaniec, physical dance with Milan Herich and stretching\/pilates. Now, if you are interested in this option, please send us an email to book a place.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TEACHERS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Milan Herich<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Born in 1980, Milan started his first dance steps in the company of traditional Slovak dance and graduated in 2000 in the Conservatory of\u00a0Banska Bystrica.<br \/>\nIn September 2002, he began the training cycle in the recognised\u00a0school\u00a0P.A.R.T.S, under the direction of Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker in Brussels.<br \/>\nHe worked with several\u00a0choreographers and companies such as Ultima Vez \/ Wim Vandekeybus in creating Puur (2005) and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui to create the show Myth (2007).<br \/>\nSince 2000 he\u00a0collaborates with David Zambrano as an assistant in classes and workshops and he\u00a0works as an interpreter in the pieces:\u00a012 flies Went out at noon, 3 flies Went out at noon, Rabbit project, Soul Project and Holes.<br \/>\nMilan Herich is co-founder of Les Slovaks Dance Collective creating Opening Night (2007) Journey Home (2009) The concert (live music and traditional singing 2010) and his latest show, Fragments (2013).<br \/>\nSince 2013 he been involved in productions of the\u00a0choreographer Anton Lachky in the creations Mind Gap (2013) and Side Effects( 2015).<br \/>\nAfter a long period, he returned to work with Wim Vandekeybus for the piece\u00a0Booting Looting\u00a0(2014).<br \/>\nIn 2014, under the direction of David Zambrano, Milan created his first dance solo, A Solo for\u00a0Mr.Folk performing in Europe and Latin America.<br \/>\nCurrently he continues to develop his\u00a0own work, teaching dance workshops, and sharing with many different\u00a0artists from the dance and circus in a wide range of shows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DOWN BY SPIRAL\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Milan Herich leads a very physical (but playful) technique class that challenges the individual and coordinates the collective group. Through repetition we will build the skills and awareness to move with speed and efficiency.\u00a0The aim is to alternate between arches and spirals of the body in all directions possibly imagined. The class will start with exercises in which we will work on using the range of the body to discover different movement possibilities, developing into sequences based on the exercises.\u00a0A full body warm up will begin on the floor and continue through sitting and squatting material. She finished her Master\u2019s in Theater in Cracow and completed her degree in dance at the Dance College in Wroclaw in Poland, where she studied contemporary dance, hip-hop, ballet, jazz and traditional Polish folk dance. She has taught contemporary dance and improvisation in studios and with theater groups in her home country and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>In 2009, she had her first meeting with Gaga during a workshop with Arkadi Zaides in Pozna\u0144 (Stary Browar Nowy Taniec). After this experience she decided to research the Israeli dance scene through workshops with Tal Avni (Contact Improvisation and movement research), Yossi Berg and Oded Graf (contemporary dance and improvisation), Yaniv Mitzner (Contact Improvisation), and LeeSaar The Company (Gaga) and others teachers from Israel.<\/p>\n<p>From September 2010 until February 2011, she lived in Tel Aviv exploring the Gaga movement language. During this time, she was part of Yasmeen Godder\u2019s workshop for dancers in Tel Aviv and also trained in Contact Improvisation. Natalia was a part of the first Gaga Teachers Training Program, certified by Ohad Naharin in 2012. Since then she is teaching regular gaga classes for dancers and non-dancers in London and workshops in Poland and Europe. She is the only certified gaga teacher in Poland and one of few in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>more information: <a href=\"http:\/\/nataliagaga.weebly.com\/\">http:\/\/nataliagaga.weebly.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>GAGA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gaga is a movement language which Ohad Naharin developed over the course of many years and which is applied in daily practice and exercises by the Batsheva Dance Company members. The language of Gaga originated from the belief in the healing, dynamic, ever-changing power of movement.<\/p>\n<p>Gaga is a new way of gaining knowledge and self-awareness through your body. Gaga provides a framework for discovering and strengthening your body and adding flexibility, stamina, and agility while lightening the senses and imagination. Gaga raises awareness of physical weaknesses, awakens numb areas, exposes physical fixations, and offers ways for their elimination.
