Dear Dancers! We invite you for the masterclasses with Chlo\u00e9 Beillevaire (France, Belgium), a dancer of the newest production of Ultima Vez ‘Speak low if you speak love’. The workshops are suitable for advanced dancers in the contemporary dance technique.<\/p>\n

Chlo\u00e9 Beillevaire<\/strong> (1989, Lille – France) After a short passage at the conservatory of Lille (France) she study during four years at the CNSMD of Lyon (Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique et de Danse).<\/p>\n

Since 2011 she Participate to different projects with the of Ando – Davy Brun concursus (Lyon \/ USA), Artopie – Santucci Saillot La Barbe bleue (Roubaix), DIEM Dance Image – Yutaka Nakata Diary of a red apple (Lille \/ Japan), Groupe Noces – Florence Bernad Coco solo pour une femme seule, Punky Marie (Montpellier), Poetic Punkers – Natalia Vallebona After party (Brussel \/ Italy), Olivier Dubois – Ballet du Nord Ana Masri (Roubaix \/ Egypt).<\/p>\n

Since 2013 she joined the compagny Ultima Vez – Wim Wandekeybus (Brussel) with Spiritual Unity and now she is touring with the last creation Speak low if you speak love.<\/p>\n

Malleable bodies and absurds discussions<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a first step we will go through a technical classe. We will start with different improvisations focused on the awareness of the body and the capacity to switch from a quality to an other. We will experiment the notion of conducted and dropped weight, the fluidity in the articulations, the muscular tension, the sharp or drawned movements in the space\u2026 Then we will concentrate our attention on the fluidity of the body around a strong and available center thanks to floorwork and various dance phrases. The aim of the class is to find the best ways to make our body adaptable, malleable as much as possible.<\/p>\n

In a second part, we will wonder how to bring meaning and spirit into gestural language. We will work around the idea of a discussion, an open dialogue between different bodies, an absurd talk behind dance movements. We will start from symbolics, daily movements and significant small gestures to make it grow, extreme and contaminate the rest of the body. Keeping always in mind the idea to put in light our strengths and transform our weaknesses, we will establish and build a dialogue based on each other\u2019s universes and own gestures. After a composition work and a play with the different characters in relation in the space, we will look how to transform and appropriate the material of the others and add our own interpretation to it.<\/p>\n

BalletOFFFestival<\/strong> is a new proposal from Krakow Choreographic Centre. The festival was founded in place of The Krakow BalletOFF Meetings, which have promoted and presented the art of dance in Krakow between 1991 and 2013.<\/p>\n

The new festival started in 2014.<\/p>\n

BalletOFFFestival is a residential festival, which will stimulates the creative and artistic process. Krakow Choreographic Centre will support chosen projects in the realization of a performance\/event\/activity in a broadly defined range of contemporary dance and dance theatre.<\/p>\n

The festival\u2019s culmination is a presentation of performances and accompanying events.<\/p>\n

The confrontation of the choreographic thought, representing three self-containing areas: Krakow – Poland – the World, is a vital element of the festival\u2019s new formula. This sheer confrontation and exchange of experience among artists, who represent the mentioned area, synergy, that eventuates from the whole, as well as the possibility to observe it given to the audience creates an additional value of BalletOFFFestival.<\/p>\n

By means of the festival, KCC facilitates conditions for creative confrontation of a choreographer and mentor. It provides the space for studio work, offers support in realization of spectacles and promoting of their premiere.<\/p>\n
