On 10 August 2022, during TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA in Munich, Marta Wo\u0142owiec\u2019s performance \u201cTens\u201d was presented. That same night, Egyptian artist Salma Salem also performed on stage, and the programme of the entire Festival included performances by artists such as Noe Soulier, Isabelle Schad, Louise Vanneste, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA has been organised since 1991. It connects international and local artists in the fields of contemporary dance and performance, creating a unique meeting venue for the audience. The programme includes performances, panel discussions, and workshops both for professional dancers and amateurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tens* performance explores the theme of the body as a generator of energy.  e artist searches for organicity resulting from the  ow of physical sensations, vibrations, following intuition, and harmonising the body and the mind. She gives herself time for development. She also gives the audience time to harmonise their own bodies with the performer\u2019s body. Tens involves tension, mindfulness, and calmness, as well as strength, which can always be found by taking a deep breath in and out and standing strong on one\u2019s feet. *Tens (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) is a method used in pain management therapy, based on using low-amplitude electrical impulses. Electrodes placed on the surface of the skin deliver electric current to the peripheral nerves and stimulate them in two ways: by blocking the nerve impulses carrying information about pain to the brain and by initiating the production of pain-relieving substances \u2013 beta-endorphins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
