Events

We are the organizers of cyclical dance events of local, national and international outreach. Our receivers are amateurs and dance lovers who are eager to watch the dance, are interested in the movement or participate in dance lessons and also professionals to whom our Center is a creative space, a venue for presenting the spectacles and excellent space to acquire new skills.

Our brands are the Contemporary Dance Festival SPACER, BalletOFFFestival, 3…2…1…DANCE! choreographic competition, Gaga and Physical Dance Camp.

Each of the events has its special and unique character due to the wonderful personalities who visit our venue every year. Among them, it is worth mentioning numerous artists and educators from Poland and abroad, acknowledged artists with the great experience, as well as representatives of the young generation who begin their creative activity.

Our events are built in the idea of three activity areas. We take care of the educational aspect by proposing workshops with world-renowned pedagogues, of an impresary aspect – showing the best and most diverse dance performances, organizing residences for artists, and the artistic aspect – we produce and show our own spectacles as the Around Centre Group.

The initiator and co-organizer of events until 2015 was Eryk Makohon and the Association of the Krakow Dance Theater.

Among others we have been visited by: Thomas Steyaert, Carlo Massari, Jos Baker, Iyar Elezra, Idan Porges, Laura Aris, Bruno Caverna, Johan Greben, Uri Ivgi, Chloé Beillevaire, Milan Herich, Samir Calixto, Polish Dance Theatre, Lublin Dance Theatre, Kielce Dance Theatre, Dance Theater Department from Bytom, Sopot Dance Theatre, Pracownia Fizyczna, Dzikistyl Company, Amareya Theatre, egli_items, DF Dance Theatre, C&C Company, Anna Piotrowska, Iwona Olszowska, Karol Tymiński, Sławek Bendrat, Anna Godowska, Sławomir Krawczyński, Aleksandra Bożek-Muszyńska, Maciej Kuźmiński, Barbara Bujakowska, Tomasz Wygoda, Witold Jurewicz, Jacek Owczarek, Natalia Iwaniec, Leszek Bzdyl.
